DO YOU WANT TO KNOW GOD IN A PERSONAL WAY?

I believe that each person, no matter their circumstances, has an emptiness inside. Every person is lonely in a way that human relationships cannot fulfill. I believe that it is loneliness for God.

If you have found yourself at a place in life where you are longing for something deeper, I can guarantee that God is able to fill that void. He is waiting and ready to give you a life of purpose, peace, and hope as you follow your Creator’s plan. And even more amazingly, God wants to give you eternal life with Him in Heaven after you die.

God cares deeply about a personal relationship with me - and you!  Even among the millions of people in the world, you are important to Him.  He knows your past, your next move, and your future. He knows you so intimately that He can even count the number of hairs on your head!  He loves you and longs for you to run to Him and allow Him to be a loving Father to you.

You were created to know God in a personal way; to have a relationship with Him, through His Son, Jesus Christ.

If you are ready to ask Him to take over your life, I want to help you. There isn’t a complex process or ritual. God just wants a relationship with you. You may be thinking, “How do I actually start a relationship with God?”

Let me walk you through a few simple steps to help you:

Realize That You Are A Sinner
 

No matter how good of a life we try to live, we still fall miserably short of being a good person. That is because we are all sinners.

 

The Bible says, “No one is good—not even one.” We cannot become who we are supposed to be without Jesus Christ.

Recognize that Jesus Christ died on the cross for you.

 

The Bible tells us that “God showed His great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.” This is the Good News, that God loves us so much that He sent His only Son to die in our place when we least deserved it.

Repent Of Your Sin

The Bible tells us, "Repent of your sins and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped away." The word repent means to change our direction in life. Instead of running from God, we can run toward Him.

Receive Jesus Christ Into Your Life.

Becoming a Christian is not merely believing some creed, following a ritual or going to church.  It is having Christ Himself take residence in your heart and life.  Jesus said, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in.” 

If you would like to have a relationship with Christ, simply pray this prayer and mean it with all your heart.

"Dear Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner. I believe You died for my sins. Right now, I turn from my sins and open the door of my heart and life. I proclaim You as my personal Lord and Savior. Thank You for saving me. Amen."

Now that you have entered into a relationship with Jesus, we encourage you to engage in the following practices:

Pray:  

Daily talk to God like you would talk to a friend. Share your heart with Him. He is always there and ready to listen.

Read:

Let God talk to you. One of the ways God speaks to us is through the Bible. Begin by reading the gospel of Mark, looking at Jesus and the things that he taught and the way he interacts with people.

Connect:  

The Christian life is not a lone-ranger affair. We were made to live in relationship with God and with others.
